I have had the chance over the years to
fish Payne Lake located just outside of Oxbow New York. If your looking for
some exciting small mouth bass fishing, this lake will fit the bill. My
brother-in law, great friend and hunting partner decided for fathers day
that he would like his whole family to go fishing on the lake.
From what I am being told, Kyle caught the
largest one but as she got it next to the boat, it bounced off the side of
the boat and got away. Well Kyle...we call that catch and release and you
still get credit for the largest fish.
I didn't get a chance to ask what they were
using (it may have been a fishing secret) but for the times I have fished
the lake with great success, I used a weedless rubber worm set-up in the
shallows and as I fished the deeper waters just added a slide weight to the
front of the worm. |

The fish are all filleted and now headed for the frying pan.
If you want a good sense of how a family is
suppose to operate, Brent and Kitty are the shinning model. They way they
have raised their two kids (Brandon and Kyle) with patience and love is what
all of us parent strive for.
Brent was brought up in a family (The McAdams)
that worked together and stuck together during the good times and bad. They
still do and their the first ones to volunteer to help anyone do anything
without looking for anything in return with the exception of a handshake and
a thank you.
Why did I write the above? One of the main
reasons for the site coming into being was to get family's back involved
with each other to enjoy the outdoors together. Do you realize there are so
many places you can go fishing, camping and other activities and have it
cost only your gas monies and groceries?
