Walleyes in the St.Lawrence - 7/01/07
Coffee was made and all the gear packed up by 5am.
The boys were running a little late but that was ok because I knew they would be
their to get to go on their first trip of river walleye fishing on the
St.Lawrence River. I had taken Brent for a number of years up to a camp located
on Union falls and there he had caught he fair share while fishing on that body
of water, but Merrill had yet to get a chance to catch his first one.
The temp in the 50's and water temp is at 66 with
overcast skies. It had rained the night before and the rain had passed but the
strong northerly wind was still present. I like using the Lisbon Beach boat
launch and would recommend if your looking for a week or weekend get away,
Lisbon beach has it all. Fully equipped camp sites set-up for campers and also a
tent area. Boat launch as well as slips to keep your boat in the water during
your stay.
Merrill Finny with his first walleye, not a keeper
but at least the first one under his belt.

Brent McAdams with his first St.Lawrence river
walleye... his words "this is cool". Walleye fishing can become an
addictions but I guess if you need to get addicted to something...what's
wrong with it being a walleye?
